ACTIVATE PrEP is designed to help clinics who are already prescribing preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to optimize same-day and rapid initiation workflows. Many community health centers and sexual health clinics have the intent and infrastructure to offer immediate PrEP initiation but face persistent challenges that impede consistent implementation, including workflow inefficiencies, limited staff capacity, pharmacy coordination, and reimbursement uncertainty.

Live Educational Presentation Led By Expert Faculty
One of our expert faculty will provide a live 60-minute CME/CE presentation, in-person or via Zoom. Sessions will be tailored to your clinic’s needs, with a focus on best practices for rapid or same-day PrEP initiation, workflow optimization, and patient engagement. Faculty will also address sustainability considerations such as reimbursement pathways and preparation for initiation or switching to long-acting PrEP options, and guide teams in developing 2-3 actionable goals to improve implementation.

Expert Consultation and Follow-Up
To reinforce implementation and sustain progress, faculty will provide ongoing consultation after the initial session. Your clinic will participate in virtual 1- and 3-month follow-up sessions with faculty to review progress on action items, discuss challenges, and refine workflows. This continued engagement will ensure education translates into practical, lasting change.

Educational Resources and Community Outreach Support
Attendees will receive educational program materials, ready-to-use flyers, posters, and email templates, and access to a library of online clinical resources.

Participating clinics will be eligible for a stipend of up to $2,000.00 to assist with community outreach initatives.

Community Outreach Support
Your clinic will receive educational and outreach materials, as well as instruction on how to help raise awareness of PrEP availability and encourage discussion with patients about resources within their local networks. These ready-to-use tools, such as flyers, posters, and email templates, will support communication with nearby primary care providers, women’s health centers, and other community partners to strengthen local engagement in HIV prevention.

Digital Toolkit/Downloadable Clinician Tools and Patient Resources
In addition to the program materials you receive during the live session, your clinic will receive a comprehensive digital toolkit to reinforce learning and support sustained implementation beyond the live session. Materials will be practical, adaptable, and relevant to community-based practice settings. Clinician job aids, checklists, and workflow templates will be available online to streamline eligibility assessment, lab ordering, prescribing, and follow-up. Patient resources will be reviewed by patient representatives to ensure clarity, inclusivity, and cultural relevance.
